It made the other Freddy movies seem like they never took place. For
example the storyline didnt relate to the other ones.
hmmm, good point, but don't you think that it relates to all of them because it shows they were all not real, so its like a new chapter to the story sorta, my only problem was that theres no real way to make a squal from that ya know but at the same time its kinda good to have een enough of freddy for a while. and Then there was freddy vs jason. and what did you think of that?

Freddy vs. Jason may have redeemed New nightmares. If New nightmares was
related to any other Freddy movie it would be part 1 and 3 but Nancy and
John were killed in part 3.
Yeah.. sorry but I disagree, and it is quite rare.. but I thought New Nightmare was the BEST sequel period. While I LOVE 3 and 4.. 5 and 6 were REALLY bad, I just liked Englund as Freddy. New Nightmare TRIED to make Freddy SCARY again.. which was a nice change.
I was always hoping that they would spawn a new series of films based in the "real world".
