I was just thinking and I thought about who would play who if they did a movie of the Medal Of Honor series (fat chance), and this is what I came up with.
Jimmy Patterson: Richard Burns
Colenol Hargrove: Ian McKellan
Manon (the french resistance liason): Kate Beckinsale
General Sturmgiest: Michel Byrne (Vogel from Indianna Jones 3)
Anyone else have ideas on who would play who if they decided to do a movie?
Hi i like the MOH games and have to admit if i had to match any film with the 1st MOH game it would be Saving Private Ryan do you agree? And i would have Tom hanks,Tom Sizemore and Damian Lewis. im not sure who would be who though.

Well, from playing the games, I would think that Tom Cruise would be a good James Patterson
I don't know about Tom Cruise, but somehow I think that the role of Patterson would end up going to Colin Ferrel. But the great choice would be Richard Burns, because he most resembles, the artist renderings of Lt. Patterson in the little slide shows on the first game. Or if you need a better look, checkout his wanted poster the Nazis made of him in the trainstation level of MOH Frontline, and see why maybe Richard Burns should play him.

shareI was thinking of doing a MOH movie when I get out of film school, and have enough money to co-produce it. The cast that was mentioned in the first message is good but I don't know who Richard Burns is. I know everybody else but I just never heard of Richard Burns. Tom Cruise would be most likely since him and Steven Spielberg are probably buddy buddy. I never thought of Collin Farrell, but after I saw Sin City I was thinking Clive Owen.

I think Natalie Portman would make a great Manon. And they should keep W. Morgan Sheppard (The Voice of Col. Hargrove) as Colonel Hargrove.
I love the franchise, even if Rising Sun was a bit screwy. But I think this is one situation in which the movie already came before the game. I mean the Medal of Honor games are basically a compilation of Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers. Perhaps you could make a movie based on Medal of Honor: Rising Sun, but you would have to clean up the holes and inconsistencies.

On the sets of Saving Private Ryan, Spielberg told his coworkers "This movie needs to be made into a video game". After the movie came out he set out to create a WWII fps and called it Medal of Honor. That's true, MoH is based off Saving Private Ryan, in the credits it even says "Created by Steven Spielberg". I also HEARD, not sure if it's true, but it probably is, that since Spielberg produced Band of Brothers, a lot of scenes in that were based off MoH. I also heard rumors that MoH is getting another movie sometime soon.
I like most of your ideas for cast members. For Jimmy Sullivan in Pacific Assault, I would chose the main actor from LA Confidential, he always reminded me of him.
