Ironic when you know that CIA smuggles most of the drugs
Seriously, I'm not joking. Read on the Internet. The whole US of A is one huge cruel joke. So this movie was kinda pointless. So, here's the situation the way I see it:
A natural plant - the coca plant is used to make white powder that makes rich USA yuppies (youth urban professionals lol) happy. Poor Colombians pick up the coca seeds and sell them cheap to the drug lords. Drug lords make cocaine and smuggle it into US of A. However if they don't pay the CIA, the CIA Lets the DEA, which is a tool to keep the competition aside, after them. USA yuppies spend their money on cocaine to make them feel full of energy and important so the next day they can go to work at the US banks, financial institutions and whatnot. The foulest of those financial institutions is the International Monetary Fund to which the country of Colombia pays 53 percent of its GDP. The entire Colombian GDP is $387.4 billion. Naturally, when more than half of the GDP goes to pay your debts and the other half is in the hands of the 20 percent of the population it's not surprising that the majority of the Colombians are dirt-poor. That's why some of them choose to be mules. They go to US of A and think,"wow what a great country" when in fact this same country is the reason they have 60 capsules of cocaine in their stomach and are in danger to die or go to prison. Ironic, isn't it?
