GUESS WHO NOW OWNS BIRTH BY SLEEP

Besides the hundreds of thousands of others.

ME.

Of course. One problem. A broken PSP analog stick. Meaning, I'm playing Critical mode, with Terra, and the stick will drift to the left. Which means, NO MOVEMENT, NO SHOT LOCK, AND NO MENU SCREEN. Final destination, baby.

Of course, this also means I cannot stop dying meaning I need to get my PSP analog stick replaced.

But on the bright side, the game came with some nice stickers.

I got the bundle pack on the seventh.

But I haven't had time to play it.:(

I can relate, I'm in college and it keeps me dead with assignments.

But, seriously, you'll love it. Gameplay is so amazing and not boring at all. Even when I have bad controls thanks to my PSP, it is so much better than even normal Kingdom Hearts games in the prologue. All the flashiness and magic and stuff...

Also, somehow I made it through Terra's first two worlds on Critical mode without my analog stick working right and GO TO HELL CINDERELLA WHY WAS THAT SO MUCH HARDER THAN IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN Oh right analog stick.

Wow, and how can you keep up with critical mode Ryan? I’ve finished Ven’s story 1st (didn’t want to be spoiled about Vanitas origins on Terra’s story) on normal, felt really easy and then I picked Terra on proud mode and I can’t keep up with the first boss (true that I’m on level 3…I thought I didn’t need to grind T_T). I block a lot but still lose in the end. I guess I got used to Ven’s faster style and Terra’s just too slow for me right now.

Anyway, you need to fix that analog stick or you’ll never win the last bit of Ven’s final fight . It requires rotating the damn thing really fast and pressing certain buttons at a certain time.

Now I wonder how’s gonna be Vanitas on proud mode on Ven’s story since I have to re-play it in order to unlock the secret movie. Losing sight of him on normal difficulty means death…

I ordered a new stick, should be here in a few days.

SOMEHOW, I got all the way to Braig with Terra on Critical with no Shot lock and little control over analog stick via camera manipulation and stubbornness.

Of course, Braig continues to slaughter me. I manage to beat that one Unversed before him where you fight with all three characters and only died once, but oh my god, Braig. I know HOW to beat him, I JUST NEED MY ABILITY TO MOVE BACK SO I CAN AT LEAST GUARD WITHOUT DASHING INTO A WALL.

But, yeahhh. I don't know how I'm doing so well on Critical mode.

Also, I love how everything is useful in this game. Well, I have some extra abilities, but still. D-links are awesome, those bursts are awesome, finishers, everything.

Ha, I'm in standard mode.

I can just look up the secret ending on youtube XD

Already saw the secret ending (well the very last part) and haven't even played it and don't know when I will ;_;

You watched the ending on youtube? You cheaters! JK I did that too with the past games. Anyway, I’m a little disappointed that the ending is not actually like in the past games…It just seems like an in-game cutscene (watched the first few seconds of the secret ending).
So I guess you didn’t buy that Birth by Sleep PSP bundle in the end, huh Nicki?

Ryan, how are you doing in that board game? You know, the one with the dices? Any tips? =_= The game’s cheating, I swear. I only won 2 out of 8 times. The game always gets the perfect dice numbers to get through checkpoints and take extra points.
And yeah, Braig was annoying even with the moving stick. The only way he went down for me was the shot lock. If you beat him without using that on critical mode than you must be really damn good (and have an incredible amount of patience XD) or you meld some awesome attack moves/spells. I’m trying to meld Mega Flare right now. From what I saw in some videos, the spell does more damage than it did in the Final Fantasy games.

So far I haven't even tried using the board game nor melding commands. ... I never change my Keyblade either because of how natural it looks.

...

How did I get this far I don't know. However I DO use those D-links and Aqua's is a life saver against Braig. ... Who then kills me the second I revive with two more shots.

Haven't tried facing him in a while, shall try my luck again. I mostly just guard, spam magic at him, and cure. Basic attacks while on the ground.

HERE I GO AGAIN

@ Ellie

I always watch scenes for video games online!

Hell, I watched the kiss scene from Final Fantasy X before I even started the game! XD

Indeeed...

And oh god I somehow defeated Braig. I realize that Ignite and Block are really really good against him. It was more of a challenge trying to stay still to block instead of dashing but I did it. First time I tried tonight it nearly worked, got him to one health, BUT THEN HE DID THAT SILLY RUNNING THING. Then last time he did it again but I had one health, and then he sniped me, I reflected it, and I won. Awesome.

All with a broken analog stick. Yes, I'm awesome. Level 18, I think.

Also, Braig shooting and yelling at Master Xehanort was amusing.

That game…I never got into it. Probably because I also watched all those cutscenes on youtube before playing the game so after a few hours of playing I quit. So yeah, for me knowing what’s gonna happen in the game before playing takes away a lot of fun. But since you don’t have problems with that then good for you :D. Unlocking that secret ending in Standard Difficulty is a pain. 100% completion includes all those damn Ice Cream, Racing and Volley games from Disney Town which I personally hated. The Ice Cream games weren’t that bad but the Racing… I’m pretty good at racing games but I suck in this one.

Well, congrats for beating Braig, Ryan. Beating the dude at level 18, with all the handicap there (sucky movement stick and no shot lock) is quite something. How far into the story are you now? Have you tried yet the Battle Arena? Those annoying bosses at the Mirage Arena make Vanitas look like a puppy dog (at least Standard difficulty Vanitas). I’m in the Deep Space world, training Terra, but not for Neverland nor for the final boss but for that Arena (because I want the Ultima Weapon. What’s a KH game without having the Ultima weapon? =P ). I’m level 47 right now, everything canon is piece of cake but that Arena is a killer for me. I’m gonna try tonight again. I melt all the commands and most of the abilities so I guess having Meteor Crash, Ars Solum, Quake, Magnet Spiral, Limit Storm and Mega Flare should make it easier. I’m still missing that Leaf Bracer ability (or something like that) that stops the enemies from attacking while healing.

Beat Terra's story over the weekend. Beat Master Eraqus at level 28, the final boss at... level 40.

I overlevelled a lot because I was mastering abilities.

So, in short. Now I'm level 50 because my new analog stick should be in the mail by tomorrow and I want to play fresh with Ventus. All abilities, attacks, and magic mastered. All ice cream gotten besides that one I heard about that gives you this ice cream finish. Just need the Pete D-link and any others you get from Command Board.

Arena is fun. Stuck on, you guessed it, Iron Prisoner IV. I'm level 20 on that. I'm working on finishing the command boards, and I have one minigame left for the racing.

SPEAKING OF. DISNEY WORLD GO TO HELL. FIRST YOU MAKE ME FIND ALL THOSE INGREDIENTS, THEN YOU MAKE ME RACE WITH A BROKEN ANALOG STICK MAKING ME BREAK IT MORE, AND THEN YOU PUT ME THROUGH THAT LAST RACE WITH THAT ACCURSED RIGHT TURN NEAR THE BEGINNING TO GET ONTO THE RAMP AND YOU KNOW DAMN WELL MY STICK IS BROKEN

So that's the only one not done for Arena.

AND. THAT ICE CREAM SONG GAME. I'm good at it, EXCEPT FOR THE STICK. It keeps moving around and I can never hit my intended target and thus I only have the first three done above cool.

But, yeah. All treasures, stickers... Game is like at 30-40 hour play time.

... Ahaha...

I made Mega Flare once I defeated Eraqus. IT IS THE MOST AMAZING THING EVER. And I love some of the random abilities like Breaktime, which makes you invulnerable to any attack while you do pushups. Or Victory Pose, which makes you gain like double your normal EXP for a certain kill after doing so.

ALL IN CRITICAL BABY

I'm... I'm a nerd, I know.

BUT SCREW THAT ICE CREAM MAN.

I JUST BEAT.

EVERY SINGLE ICE CREAM BEAT SONG.

MASTERED.

WITH A BROKEN THOUGH SLIGHTLY MORE FIXED ANALOG STICK

AND GOT FROZEN FORTUNE.

ON CRITICAL

PRAISE ME, MORTALS.

But, yeah. Took apart my PSP. And the one screw I can't get out is the one connecting the stick to the PSP. So, I decided to try playing anyway, and realized that the stick works again. ... If under enough pressure.

So, I have to keep half my hand clenching it together with the other half moving the stick in beat to the music so it won't go everywhere.

So, yeah. Need to find a screwdriver small enough.

........

AND THEN WHILE TYPING MY PSP SLIPS AND SHATTERS

jsdnjfdsnfjhasn

OH GOD.

Okay status report, battery fell out, LUCKILY I JUST SAVED. Oh thank god. Um. Speakers sound weird. Uh oh.

Wait they seem fine. I think.

But oh god that was terrifying.

And yes it did save oh thank god.

Also I refuse to use any other Keyblade beside the first one and Ends of Earth.

Imagine, if you will. A world for minigames, known as Disney World.

Now, imagine, if KH2 Atlantica was found there, with deep sea creatures being Huey, Dewey, and Louie. Instead of singing, you get music claps.

Now imagine that on speed.

That is Ice Cream Beat.

The game is one of the hardest in the game, so much that it was nerfed in the English version and is STILL the hardest minigame. Once I had control of my analog stick I managed to survive, but, still.
