Milking means making more games and other things solely for money. 'Milking' it for all that it's worth.
Me... nn, as a KH fan I don't want to say it, but yeah. Maybe not as intentionally, since Nomura seems to have a plan in mind that can't be finished until he has his team back from Versus XIII, but... yeahhh.
My optimistic side likes to think he's just like me and comes up with long, complicated stories that can't be explained in one game after the first game's made, only with me I do that all in my head and I never finish a single project.

.hack was great until i loaded the second disc and realized that i had to do all of the extra missions all over again.

KH is an action RPG. But it's still an RPG.
And honestly, I don't think this series is being milked. It is a money maker, but I don't think it's made solely for the money. I really think that Nomura wants this story told.

Yes he is, he's just sh*ting games onto the GBA, DS and 3DS just to spread the games to as many consoles as his contract allows him to (that's a paraphrase of a comment by him, forgot where I read it).
What's the point of Chain of Memories, Coded and 358/2 Days if no one is gonna remember what happened? I was fine when they mentioned those games in KH 2. In fact, KH 2 at some point summed up those games in like 10 seconds. i.e, we didn't neet a whole friggin' game (Coded) just to see what was in that letter at the post-credits scene of KH 2 when they could have just summarized that too.
Time spent dreaming is time wasted.
