DVD?
Does anyone know if this will be coming out on dvd?
shareIt'd better!
I've just done a bit of a search for it, but found nothing... :(
Apparently it won the Children's Bafta award last year for best "school drama", and Debbie Isitt, who adapted it for television, won the award for best adaption writer. Oh, and as well as being award-winning, it's actually very good!
So it damned well should be out on DVD!
Maybe we should start a petition... :)
Found it! :D
I decided to watch a silly (but quite informative) schools programme called "What's So Good about... Jacqueline Wilson?" in the early hours of this morning. And it was lucky that I did, because they did a plug for the DVD immediately after the programme!
Rather strangely, it's a "trilogy DVD", containing two other programmes as well as The Illustrated Mum. Quoting from the Channel 4 Shop website: "This DVD includes a documentary about Jacqueline Wilson along with dramatisations of her popular books, Double Act and The Illustrated Mum."
Unfortunately, this arrangement means that it costs more than you'd usually pay for a single film - £39.00, in fact - but I think it'd be worth it. :)
So go on... Buy, buy, buy! :D

I guess the fact it's got some release so far is a good sign, but it seems we're a long way from a single DVD Aussie release.
shareI clicked on the link, but nothing's coming up! Where could I find it?
