News!!!...kinda

OK ages ago i was browsing a Kip Pardue fansite and i saw stills from the credit sequence for Glitterati

it was post it notes stuck to a mac with final cut pro running and said music by tom & andy directed by Roger Avary and a few stills from the film.

So I believe Avary has finished it...I heard talk of a DVD release ages ago.

Ellis said that Avary renewed the rights to Glamorama cause I think he got some sick amount of money for workin on Beowulf...maybe not enough to fund the film tho...

Ellis said that the sets+script look amazing but just doesn’t think it will get off the ground the story is nuts and maybe just not marketable enough. And Kip Pardue wasnt enough of a A-list leading man to carry the film...be he IS victor Ward he was wicked in ROA and is an ex-model which is cool too!

It sucks Glamorama is a masterpiece and I think Avary would do an amazing job.

Why oh Why is he wasting his time on Driver...he should release Glitterati it might sell well and stir up some Glamorama interest.

avary's a bigtime hack

reply

Avary is not a hack, I can assure you of that.

Ever watch Silent Hill?

reply

Silent Hill was decent. Pretty good. I was on edge at moments. Am a big fan of his. After ROA, I saw silent hill because of Avary. I will see anything he is involved with.

You three have done little to assure me that Avery is not a hack.

reply

Avery is the worst.

reply

It is actually Avary, if your gonna talk trash at least check your spelling.

reply

Ha! Apologies. However you spell it, he's the worst.

His writing alongside Tarantino prove that he's not poor in my opinion. Rules was okay. Silent Hill had some very good moments, allbeit poorly casted.

And you have done very little to convince anyone that Avary is a hack.

But here you go. Six reasons why Roger Avary is not a hack:

Reservoir Dogs (co-writer of background radio dialogue)
Natural Born Killers (wrote the "Hun Brothers" scene, described by Oliver Stone as the best scene in the script, cut from film because Stone *beep* it up.")
True Romance (uncredited writer / script doctor)
Pulp Fiction
Killing Zoe
The Rules of Attraction

I concur.
