In Evil Cult, Neil Stryker wears a strange uniform and refers to "the Academy." No explantion of what the Academy is, is ever given. Given the uniform, it seems that the Academy must be some military or quasi-military organization, but what its purpose is remains a mystery. Perhaps the mystery will be clarified by the prequel to Evil Cult currently in the works at Taylor Twin Pictures. The prequel is mentioned briefly on www.taylortwinpictures.com.

Neil Stryker is obviously an artist of great talent. Since it apparently has time travel capability, the Academy is clearly an organization in the future. Academy members wear very cool outfits, with a skull and crossbones insignia. This implies some kind of outlaw organization rather than public spirited time police. For some reason, the Academy, outlaw organization that it may be, is not happy with the Mad Scientist's kidnapping of a young woman.
Throughout history there have been many military organizations that have incorporated the skull in their insignia. It's never an accurate indicator of their motives. No, that depends entirely on who's in office at the time.
I believe that the answers to all these questions will be satisfied once and for all in the long awaited follow-up.

I have been known to be slightly reckless behind the wheel; anything's possible. We never made the film for your benefit. If you didn't like it, fine. But you wish me dead? You make a film, you parasite! We're going to keep making more movies whether you like us or not. You know you want to see the prequel, not to mention anything else we put out. You're so eager. I don't claim Evil Cult to be anything great. Just me and my bro having a good time fooling around with a camera, I'm quite surprised anyone saw it, let alone took it seriously.

Well, to be fair...the movie was garbage. That doesn't mean a person should wish harm upon the filmmakers, but there weren't really any redeeming qualities in this movie. Does anyone really care what 'The Academy' is? Obviously not...and the fact that the people who made the movie come HERE to discuss the fact that they didn't have the forethought or wherewithal to create a backstory isn't surprising. But it is sad...a little.
