Evil Cult prequel needs your help!

Got an email from the Taylor Twins in regards to The Mad Scientist. It's indeed on the way, and hopefully will be ready to premiere this December. But only if they get the final bit of finding to get it done.

First of all, thank you for your continued support. We couldn't do it without you. It's been a long time but we have some exciting news, we are close to completing the prequel to Evil Cult! It's entitled The Mad Scientist.

The Mad Scientist is a feature length sci-fi-action-adventure-comedy that takes place in the future.

"The evil Mad Scientist has just escaped from the Montgomery Ward Insane Asylum and there's only one man that can save us from his 'portal of time' and army of atomic super people!"

The Mad Scientist is bigger, better, and more beautiful than Evil Cult on so many levels!!!

. The Kickstarter response has already been HUGE! We hit 45% of our 10K goal within twenty days! But we need your help to get to the finish line and get the word out there!

The premiere of the film is set for December, 2011 in Downtown Portland. Red carpet, champagne, lady gaga egg-style entrances to follow, but the funding needs to happen NOW. The deadline is July 19, 2011 at 2:52 AM.

An explanation of Kickstarter.com: the way the site works is the artist designs a page for their idea and sets a financial goal with an end date. For example, our goal to finish the remainder of The Mad Scientist is $10K by July 19th, 2011 (approximately a 60 day campaign). Yes, it's true.

The artist then attempts to generate interest in the project. The interested community at large pledges their support through their secure Amazon.com account via the Kickstarter page. Once people pledge they become known as "backers" and receive various "awards" created by the artists. In our case, for a 10 dollar donation, a "backer" gets a button. A $50 donation gets people a signed DVD of The Mad Scientist and the previous film, Evil Cult, a hundred dollar donation gets a backer 2 VIP tickets to the premiere, etc..

When people pledge, they're not exactly donating money... yet. Therein is the catch for the artist. Kickstarter demands that the artist reach their financial goal by the proposed end date, otherwise the artist receives NOTHING -- no backer is charged ANYTHING if the goal is not met.

We have been on The Mad Scientist campaign for 21 days now and have reached 45% of our goal. Yes, it's true. "That is great progress, Rob!" I thank you for saying so. We have 39 days in which to rally and get ourselves to the goal line. Momentum is a curious thing and we don't want to lose ours. tell your friends, tell your family, tell your priest!
