The ending (Spoilers)

After watching this movie again seeing the ending confused me. So when he wakes up in the Bed, Bath & Beyond, everything that happened was just a dream? But then in the very end, when he's back at his house how does the remote appear in his house? What gives? Did this bother and confuse anyone else?
