i just didn't get what happened to agnes and this designer guy (i forgot what his name was). what did the designer do to him? did he just leave him or did he do something worse?
and why has agnes always kept this wedding dress in his room at his father's place and not somewhere else? i got the impression that there is some connection between the designer and agnes' father, is that right?
and how is it possible that agnes knows nothing about his mother as he is the youngest of the brothers (as i took it)? surely the elder brothers must know something then and he could just ask them.
and does herbert knaup's character's wife stay with him in the end?

i think in this movie are way too many hints that don't get revealed. still great movie though.

Unfortunately, I don't have the answers to your questions, just my opinions :-)

I think, the designer just left him (maybe because Agnes wanted a sex change).

Agnes kept the wedding dress at his fathers house, because when he came back to Germany he had no own permanent place to stay (living first with that boyfriend in the boyfriend's appartment - there you don't take the wedding dress given to you by a different guy; later he lived with that old lady).

And yes, as I understood it, Katja Riemann stayed with Herbert Knaup in the end.

I am still wondering what Agnes was dying from? She got bad lab results at the doctors....so some disease ?

i am quite sure that they didn't tell in the movie... but bad lab results of course refers to some undefined disease.

maybe the questions result from watching the movie in translation?
Agnes was in love with Henry but he could not make it public he was gay so s/he did the surgery to stay with him. And they bought together the wedding dress for him/her to wear for wedding. Henry left him/her anyway, probably afraid of scandal, since he was already becoming a public person.
The surgery went wrong in the end, Agnes died of its consequences.
