Josh Harnett = too young for the role?

He’s the experienced head lawman in that city, the protagonist who fights the vampires.

Shouldn’t they have cast someone older? Like Russell Crowe or Gerald Butler

reply

He needed to be young enough to plausibly have a 15 year old younger brother. He was 28 during shooting which was pushing it. I think they struck a good enough balance.

reply

You underestimate whats plausible. I know someone who is 18 years older than his sister. People usually mistake her for his daughter.

Congratulations. Doesn’t change the fact that a massive age gap between two siblings is rare and weird, and there would be no point in having one unless the story demanded it.

reply

It’s not that rare

If someone has kids in teens to 30 you can still have kids… into your mid 40’s

Mormon families have a lot of siblings with huge age gaps..

I have a growing up friend that’s not Mormon but her parents wanted a big family. She was 17 when her mom had her little sister. 8 kids in total..

Then I also was born and raised in Midwest where it’s not uncommon or used to not be in the 70’s and before , 80’s, 90’s for people to have children at a young age and be married by 20 years old.. have a kid then have another one at 35.

This is small town Alaska.. so I’m sure this is the case too.. had him and then years later had his brother…

And how do we know it’s not his half brother? Could be the case too. Or adopted..
