Better or Worse than Walking With Dinosaurs?
Which is better? Why?

shareI know there both excellent I just think that Dinosaur Planet is a tiny notch better. Prehistoric Planet was good too but a little too kidish and you couldn't exactly see the amazing moments like you could in Walking With Dinosaurs.

Yes, I know Dinosaur Planet is more up-to-date, but WwD is a classic and has better CGI.Then again I applaud Dinosaur Planet for its realism. *They didn't seem to mind thousands of baby Saltasaurs getting eaten by a pack of hungry crocodiles.*(sarcasm)One thing I resented about DC when they cut that stuff out of WWD.
shareI think it's worse than WWD; The CGI is not nearly as good (though decent in its own right) Also, it seems that the research wasn't as good. Sure, they picked many creatures that you can only know when you do some in-deep research (Tarascosaurus, Allodaposuchus and Shuuvia to pick a few), but plenty of things are either unlikely/unrealistic or downright wrong. WWD at least offered plausible theories (aside from blatantly exaggerating the size of Liopleurodon and Diplodocus).
Still, it's a pretty good series that I enjoyed watching.

I have to disagree when you said it had much better CGI. Sure it looked more like a video game, but when compared to WWD it looked more modern and WWD look a little dated. But it did lok much more realistic. However other BBC series (WWB, esspecially WWM, etc) have better CGI than DP in every way.
