Helmuth and Foley not good chemistry

Dave and Phil Gordon seemed to have some good chemistry, but I can just feel the awkwardness between Helmuth and Dave radiating from the screen. Ugh, I can't watch this show anymore, I want to, but I can't.

I think Helmuth was just nervous

It's bad enough that being reminded every few minutes about some of the things that Hurricane Katrina did to the people of New Orleans takes a lot of the fun out of the show... without also having to deal with the fact that the "Poker Brat" doesn't get most of Dave's jokes.

During the first episode, Dave actually had to explain some of his references when Hellmuth got confused. Not good.

And even though Hellmuth is a more successful poker player, he doesn't do as good of a job of commenting on the action. Phil Gordon had a much better sense of what stuff needed to be explained to people like me who are more interested in Brad Garrett and Sara Rue than we are in the poker.

I agree with all of you guys. I know that it's probably just a normal expression on his face, but Helmuth looks so uncomfortable. I think someone already said this but another thing that bugs me is that their voices are so similar that it's hard to tell who's talking when they're off camera.

I totally agree! Hellmuth always makes these over-exaggerated expressions every time Foley makes a joke or comment...it's as if Hellmuth can't think of anything to say because he is confused so he relies on his expression to make people laugh. I miss Phil Gordon terribly! I sincerely hope, if there are future seasons, that they take place back in Las Vegas with Gordon back.

In regards to the rest of the show...every time they put up a telephone number, it takes too long...we get it, we don't need explanations. And this is just me being nit picky...but i miss the orange chips! :) The blue and purple are too similar in color.

At least Robert is here with his dry humor out at the poker table...
