I love Michael Chiklis, but...

not even he could save this plodding, horribly paced and horribly edited film.

It is boring, slow, and he is the only interesting person in the movie. Michael Chiklis and John Toll... how did this movie go wrong?

Damn! That was him! From the "The Shield" right!? Damn, he is waaaaayyyy different now! Movie was NOT that bad. See "Charlie's Angels"? Me neither. 10 minutes into it I yanked it out of the DVD player and later dropped it at Goodwill. Hope they can get at least a dollar for it.

I am watching this now. Not enough girls in lead roles, and you're gonna dis this one? I'm in an hour and forty-two in it and the cop has just freed his daughter! I BET IT IS A TRAP! I have never seen this but I bet his daughter is a vampire too. And I bet he dies and the character Lou plays lives! Bye!

"But I thought his acting was suprisingly bad in this movie."

They hardly gave him anything to do. His charactor didn't meet up with "Sadie Blake" (Lucy Liu) until three quarters of the way through the movie. That's when the movie finally came alive; the scenes between them were pretty good. But it was almost over by then....

"Like he wasn't really trying."

He was so low energy in his first scene that I didn't recognize him for a minute. I'm used to him on "The Shield" where he's the center of every scene he's in, and seems to command them effortlessly.

Vic was underused in the film, if they game him more action based scenes instead of Lucy Liu it might have been a better film.

Yeah, he was supposed to be a drunk in the beginning, but when he started having the dreams about his daughter being dead, THAT was when he showed his acting. From that moment on, he & Liu did a great job. It's not that bad of a movie. Especially compared to today's mess of horror movies.
