With all due respect, even a low budget film should have a solid story!

While I respect the budget and what was done with it, I just can't look at this as being a "good film". Was it a great accomplishment with what he had to work with? YES! Could I have pulled this off? HELL NO! Has anyone else really been able to produce something like this for less than $2000? I don't think so!

After seeing the film I really question some of the reviews. Are the reviews praising this film because of it's content, or because of what it managed to accomplish? If for example none of the "facts" about the production of this film were known, would anyone like this movie at all?

I'm sorry, I gave it more than a fair chance. Hell, both my friend and I blindly purchased copies of the DVD at the same! The story was actually the weak point for me, even though the acting wasn't stellar either. Usually I can live with poor acting, but coupled with this story I just didn't find it a positive experience. Has anyone else see this and not like it?

***ONE QUESTION PLEASE***

I do not ask this sarcastically, I ask this seriously.

What was the point of DNA-21 (I think that was the name) in regards to the overall plot? I don't see how it impacted anyone in the movie at all?? The only thing I could come up with at one point was she was cloned, until I decided that she was in fact in Paris in a hospital, unless my initial thought was right?

I just saw the DVD and to me DNA21 obviously cloned the girl. I realized when the mom was looking at a newspaper clip that reads that the dad used to work for DNA21, and I also remember seeing adds "The chance to be born again" throughout and the scientist friend also mentions that the bug in the tooth is a genetic tracking device or something... I do have some other questions like what was the purpose of the acid rain? But overall I really enjoyed the movie, it was quite a wild ride (judging by the cover art I was expecting a typical B movie fare and not the bizarre *beep* up story that really is) Thenagain I have a soft spot for weird movies ;)

I really didn't care much for the FX. But I agree: The story is a total mind *beep* and the editing is phenomenal. Overall i thought this was a dope movie. And that ketchup scene was the poop!!!!!

I thought the idea was that DNA-21 cloned the girl and kept her in Paris for however long. The moral taboo questions then transfers away from the obvious NO given to "is it ok to have sex with your sister?" and over to the more discution heavy "Is it ok to have sex with a clone of your sister?"
