This movie is definately not a 7/10 film. Sorry, but it doesn't even come close. I hope more people vote and balance it out so that this isn't misinterpreted as a great movie.

I usually find that the majority of imdb users tend to base their votes more so on the technical aspects of the film. (i.e. script writing, actor's range and ability, location and shooting, etc.)
Personally I would rather scoring a movie for how 'watchable' it is. A movie can be a technical masterpiece, but is it entertaining?
Typically I find that movies that are between 5.5 and 7 out of ten are entertaining. Movies that are 7 out of ten and above tend to be 'art house' movies.
I disagree in that I find many users rate the impact the movie has. For me, I found this movie so moving and disturbing that I woke in the middle of the night still disturbed by the images and stories of the 3 main characters, who are composites of real people. Perhaps movies should be rated on how much they make the viewer contemplate the world around her.
These people can be found in many of our North American cities, and the stories are so effectively portrayed that this should be mandatory Social Studies classes in highschools. What a marvelous way to educated the public about the ills of society and how easy it is to make dangerous choices.
This is an excellent movie, created with heart and passion and vision. Kudos to all involved in it.

I am sorry geeya though I am glad there is diversity on imdb I must disagree because I loved on the outs. I couldn't find anything that was wrong that stood out to make the film bad. Could you tell me what you didn't like I may have missed something.
shareI think this movie was rated so low because it's honest about a topic people are afraid to think about. The rating demographics are interesting. Males 18-29 gave it an 8.4 but anyone over 45 gave it a rating under 7. Why? Probably because they're more conservative and less in touch with the modern youth culture represented in this movie. Like it or not these things do happen.
