This game is amazing

I haven't been this invested in a Final Fantasy game since the sixth one, oh, I don't know, about eleven years ago.

7, 8, 9, and 10 were all great, don't get me wrong but I eventually had to force myself to keep playing them.

Why did no one like 12? The story? I am so wrapped up in it, so much so that I talk to every NPC I come across. The characters? What's not to like? Vaan doesn't need to be there? Seriously am I playing the same game? Even so, who cares? Did that fat guy and Cait Sith really need to be in the 7th one? You guys must've just been bitching since it was the cool thing to do when it came out. Lame.

There is sooo much to do, too. The sidequests are amazing this time, and so far the battles aren't getting old.

Such a great game. Very underappreciated. 9/10

I totally agree with you. This is my favorite of the FF games, and I've played every one (and finished 7,8,9, and 10). The voice acting is flawless, the characters are engaging, the story is gripping, the gameplay is inventive and intuitive, the side quests are relevant and entertaining, and the ending was satisfying in the best way. I'd give it a 10/10 for being the perfect game.

Nice top 3.

I've always wanted to play Vagrant Story but I've never seen anyone mention it before. If you say it's like FFXII I'll definitely check it out then. Thanks.

Nice. I agree with everything in your post. My post went ignored for so long I was starting to think I was the only one who liked it.

Have you played it before? I'm gonna play it, too. Got kinda busy and had to put it away for a bit but I'm free all weekend so I plan to play it. Enjoy!

I like your enthusiasm, it encourages me to have a deeper experience and it's eventually better and I have more fun playing it. I've begun getting into conscious conversations with every NPC too, not just to check for gifts or story triggers.

Playing it for the very first time in my life these days (on my good old PS2). And it's my first FF game.

How did these guys make such an atomic bomb of a game on a PS2? On THIS old black piece of plastic with a dusty controller tied to it that is? After a couple of hours spent in this FF meta-reality my thoughts are: "Why should they invent PS3 & PS4 at all?" Funny. Let alone minor visual imperfections (due to ppi restriction) and it’s like that.

And there is "Rouge Tomato" as one of the villains. Suppose, it's that peculiar Jap humour again? Like it.

The pic is very good. The number of movies is massive. The world is outstanding. The controls are not so tough even for me (NOT acquainted with the FF series at all). Finally, the characters are zany and corky all right (in a Japanese manner).
