sword of aeons

is the sword of aeons the most powerful sword available in the game?

You know, most of the questions you are making new threads for have already been talked about many times over. Try going back through old threads before making new ones.

And if you've got multiple questions, try and make one thread for them all, rather than multiple threads for a question each.

In addition to that. Google is your friend. Don't neglect Google.

Actually, if I recall correctly, the last special weapon you find in the game is really powerful, plus it looks awesome. I think it's called the Harbinger or something like that. You have to give the Demon Door in the graveyard of the new region all of your keys (recommended to open all of the chests first), and you'll go to this desert island with a big chest in the middle. In that chest is that big sword.

What do you see inside the room?
There are some walls and some ceilings. Wait! Just one ceiling.

reply

what region is it exactly?

reply

I haven't played the game in a real long time, but I know that it's in the graveyard of the new continent. That's as best as I can get without turning on the game.

I thought you were dead! We even poured concrete on your grave in case you came back as a zombie!

Is it absolutely necessary to create a new topic for each question you have?

For any question anyone could POSSIBLY have, the answer is in one of those, and if for some ungodly reason it's not there, then it is in one of the other walkthroughs for Fable

The Harbringer (sp?) is not the most powerful sword and neither is the Sword of Aeons. In Lady Grey's house there is a chest that requires 15 keys and it a katana that is stronger than both of them. ^_^

Though the most powerful sword I found was the Solus Sword which you can buy in Bowerstone North. It is very pricey but worth it all in all.

Oh and the Harbringer is the sword in the stone in the same place as the Temple of Avo. Hope this helped!

i just recently bought TLC after playing the original and i think the sword of aeons is the strongest in the original, i think its damage was actually around 500. why would they weaken the sword in TLC?

reply

Because they introduced Avo's Tear, which is the 'right' sword to get, so it is more powerful by a bit. If they kept Aeons at 500+, then having Avo at 550+ wouldn't have made any difference at all, because the original Aeons was CRAZY powerful, and knocked out almost any baddie in one hit. They had to limit it because you got to do more quests after, and it would be 'cheating' if you had a sword as powerful as the original Aeons.

Plus I think the original Aeons was a bit of a 'sorry we gave you half the game we promised, here's a crazy ass sword, go kill some stuff'

In TLC, there is a stronger but slower sword. If you give all your silver keys to a certain demon door, there is a stronger sword in a chest. Although stronger, I dont believe it better. It is heavy weight so you can't attack as fast as Aeons or Avo's Tear. But it is a stronger hit.

If you've been reading all the recent posts, you'd know that we've been talking about that one particular sword for a while now.

Then he must have been blown back into...
A rock?
A tree?
Another rock?

The sword you are all making references to is entitled: The Bereaver. It is located behind a Demon Door in Necropolis.

Is the fry pan really stronger? I thought it was just the only weapon to have four free Augment slots... I've got it before, but never used it because the Solus owned it (the pan is such a short weapon).

To get it, you must find all 5 or 6 treasure clues. And then follow what they say to figure out where it is. Or you can just look online to find where it is (but make sure to get ALL of the clues first, or it will be worthless)

Actually The Sword of Aeons and Avo's Tear still remian the strongest swords in the game because of their speed.

You can swing a light weapon twice as fast as a heavy weapon. So when comparing a light weapon with a heavy weapon, its reasonable to double the attack power of the light weapon.

With that said, the Brother Swords of light and dark are the strongest Light Weapons in Fable, and their doubled attack power surpasses any heavy weapon - even the Solus Greatsword and The Bereaver.

Uh, actually, just toss out the Sword of Aeons. After that the game tells you how the get the Tear of Avo. It's no secret.
