It was just me or when the language was french, all the dialogs and the camera movement resembled french cinema; and when language was english it all resembled an american independent film?...

that's a great point, actually assayas as the film buff he is, could have blinked to both european and american audiences, treating the parisian scenes differently than the canadian ones, the thing is that is not obvious when he does that...very nice point...
