Oscar Nominated!

Just saw this film yesterday due to it's Oscar Nomination and let me say it is very well desrvant of it! I loved it and I think it should win of the 3 that I've seen--Haven't seen "Story of Weeping Camel" or "Twist of Faith" yet, but "Camel" is coming to DVD soon so I'll check that out, but I liked this better than "Super Size Me" though it may lose to it bc "SSM" is more 'popular/well-known' but we'll have to see. I was very touched by this film and it was so sad to see all of that the children had to go through and some of their photos were just amazing--what talent. I loved this film and everyone should see it!!!

I saw it at the Bend Film Festival in September... It won the Audience Award.

I just saw Born Into Brothels a few hours ago, and I have to say it was BRILLIANT. I got to know (and fell in love with) the characters, with their pluck, humour and talent. A professional photographer myself, I was blown away by the magnificent imagery of both the Diector (Zana Briski) and the young photographers she nurtured so admirably. What a woman!
