"I wish I could take Puja away from here"

Made me breakdown, this film grabbed me by the throat and shook me.

my favorite part.

That part tore into me too.

When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace.

reply

Avijiti, Puja, & Shanti.

I really liked Kochi, and I was so happy that she'd stayed at the school. Hopefully she goes on to university and a good career.

Incidentally, this record's available in the foyer.

Puja! What a charismatic little firecracker she was. So full of potential.

Suchitra. My mother adored her and that vibrant smile of hers... I just wish I could have been there to tell her scumwad aunt to back off and get Suchitra out of the brothel.

reply

I agree with you. I like kids who are so playful like Pooja. Good to be around with.

Reading your lovely comments about the kids the thought krept into my mind that some of the girls are likely being prostituted to foreigners who have seen the documentary...

I know it is a sad thought, but I do feel that Ms Briski has not been an exception and she too has used the children to her own benefit.

i really loved kochi.
i think we're going to see her name up in lights on day.
the same with avijiti :]

reply

Gour! He looks like an old man trapped in a child's body. I wish the documentary featured more of him.

reply

All kids were good.
But i liked Avijit, hes got talent and he his going to shine.
Most touching scene in documentary for me was Avijits state of mind..after avijits mother is burned by pimp

reply

Suchitra.

This movie was very stirring. My heart and prayers go out to this young woman. I read in another post that they did a "where are they now" feature on these young people. Praying that the poster's info was true, I was glad to hear that she is still alive and may be taking up a trade.
