I just finished watching this series today, one thing I noticed and found odd: was the blood on the wall in the stairway not cleaned up or covered up for years after the event? The jurors were brought to the house to look at the blood stains. Was the family using this house, walking past this blood-stained area for two years ?

It seemed somewhat ridiculous considering Henry Lee was brushing up against it in the documentary. It wasn't what I would consider "preserved".

The staircase had been boarded up and not used. If I'm not mistaken you can see them removing the plywood at one point in the series.

I had the same question as the OP during it. It seemed bizarre for them to be back in the house with the stains still on the wall.
