In the manga Trebol is not a logia user he's a paramecia devil fruit user he can't get sliced cleanly in 3 places or he'd be dead. In the manga he's super thin but he definitely has a normal body under all that snot or whatever the hell that is. In the manga if I remember correctly, Law threatens to slice him in half or something and Trebol got super scared. In the manga, Trebol flings his snot at luffy and luffy tries to grab it using haki because he thinks trebol is a logia type but fails and gets enveloped in the snot.

I've heard a lot of complaints about the differences between the anime and manga, but this is a new one. Nice catch.

Law's power allows him to cut anybody without them bleeding out or dying. Remember when Kin'emon was introduced he was just a pile of body parts.
