Partially Redeemed Nickelodeon

I haven't watched a full episode of anything on Nick since that whole "Fairly Odd Parents" superhero episode. I was expecting just jokes about evrybody's powers but they were superheros for like five minutes and then learned a lesson on how normal people are the real heroes. I was about to throw up. But this show plus Avatar may have redeemed Nick. But there's also All Grown up and Danny Phantom.

This show isnt from nickelodeon, its a Canadian show they liscensed to air in the US

They shall not be redeemed untill they bring back Animaniacs and Tiny Toons! No offense, but, 1 hour of Rock Star can't replace that dynamic duo.

No good die young, they just die before, during, or after they *beep* up their lives superhonky

nick sold out

the best of nick:
rocko's modern life
are you afraid of the dark?
invader zim

the worst:
My Dad the Rock Star
Danny Phantom
All their live action crap (like that show with britney spears' sister)

all nick shows now have one basic concept: the main character's friends must consist of a girl and a black guy.

theyre all so generic

I completely agree. I would add the old all that also.

I disagree (aside from live-action, which is dreadful defined): both Danny Phantom and MDtRS was well-written from the protagonist's POV (although saddled with typical "adults are dumb" contrivances completely apart from, say, older Japanese anime in which adults are wise elders).

Zim and Rocko are often funny, but the sheer spastic mania wears out its welcome after awhile (especially when you're watching an entire series at once), as does the "deliberately cheap" drawing style.
