I've been watching reruns on TV Land and CMT and I've noticed that in the older episodes they liked to put in controversy and fights between the designers. I also noticed that they show the house to the viewers before they show the family seeing it. I like seeing their reaction before I get to see the house. Anyone else?

shareI'm so glad they started focusing on the families rather than the designers. I think that they started this show when the "it" thing to do was have lots of reality TV drama and fighting and so they showed all the bickering and such. The older episodes are less entertaining for me, but it's interesting to see the progression into the show that I love today.
shareI caught a few minutes of a first season episode, I think it was the Cox family. I can't believe how much the show has changed in 5 years. I remember the family came home, and all Ty said was "here's your house!" right after they got out of the limo. Then after their reaction he just was like "go check out your house." It seemed so rushed. And man, Ty was so skinny! lol
