I would say my favorite episode of the series would be the family that had a hearing kid, 2 deaf parents, and a blind and autistic kid. In the end, the hearing kid gets a scholarship to any college in the country for all that he's done for his family. I'm taking ASL at school, and I think it'd be interesting if we watched that episode in class

I believe it was the Vardon family of Michigan...I'm not sure if it was a Season 1 or Season 2 episode.
I'd heard that the family was having a tough time here recently with the auto industry in Detroit being in such bad shape, I hope they were able to hang onto their home. The dad's name was Larry, and the son's were Stephan and Lance...can't remember what the Mom's name was...
