WATCHING THIS SHOW MAKES MY MOM SO FRUSTRATED

I think that she has a inferiority complex. We aren't that bad off.We live in an old Vagabond trailor with some rooms added on.Two years ago,on Christmas Eve we had a flue fire.It didn't burn the trailor completely down.It just caused some smoke damage, scorched up the wall around the stove, and was hot enough to melt the vinyl shades across the room. They heard it roaring and was able to put it out in time. But she blew it out of proportion. She tried to get help from a couple orginizations and churches but they didn't help her.She got upset. Her boy friend did some wheeling and dealing, and traded mowing some ladies yard a certain amount of times for an old van, which he traded for a truck(that he fixed up and painted),then he traded the truck for this old camper, which he sold for $3,800.oo.We were then able to rebuild the room that caught on fire, bigger and better to a 12 by 32 room.My mom now has her dining room that she was wanting.

She also can't read that well. This probably has something to do with her feeling worse about herself than she has to.It's not her fault though, her parents made her stay home from school to work around the house. She tried to learn a couple of times but this doesn't work out,she just gets frustrated and quits learning.I think she's afraid that her situation might change.

The show wouldn't work for us anyway because we don't own the property that we live on,we live in a trailor behind my mom's boyfriend's mother.I certainly didn't tell this hard luck story to get someone to build us a house.I just wanted to share this story of overcoming some adversity. This show does great things for people that really need the help.Keep up the good work.

The gaston fam from the christmas eppy did not own that land. The city of pensacola gave the land for like very little money
