Finale...I cried for so many reasons

Very sad to see the series end. For me, it was a Sunday night staple (until the programming buttheads moved it to Friday). It was the one hit "reality" series that celebrated all that was good about mankind. Besides changing the lives of the families it built new homes and hope for, it changed the lives of the thousands of volunteers who helped build such. It also changed the attitudes of millions of viewers and enlightened them to so many issues that families struggle with all the time. Children and adults with special needs...losses and devastating circumstances you couldn't fathom unless you experienced them first hand...everyday heroes that are under-appreciated and unrecognized.
The final episode had me in tears a number of times while watching, not only because I'm sad to see the series end. 7 homes for 7 families devastated by the horrible tornado that practically flattened Joplin, MO in 2011. I was especially saddened by 2 of the families...one mother that had to pull a child from under a fallen utility pole while she knew her other under the same pole was gone, and another mother who had 2 of her 3 children pulled from her arms by the tornado. I can't even imagine such a horrific loss...and then to have their homes completely leveled by the same tornado.

I'm hoping ABC does an occasional EMHO special, even if it's not going to be a regular series anymore.
Please do not attack me for my opinions...we're all entitled to them.

Hi i am Justin,

If we all work together and get Home Make Over back in a way we can win. ABC likes canceling shows like NBC killed heroes and well there has been a lot of good shows but why kill the good shows like this Home Make over was so colorful and they had real heroes. ABC is super wrong there the villans.
