question about house sturdy?

not sure if anyone has mentioned this before, but just how sturdy are those houses they build? I mean to build it in a week or whatever timeframe (short) just doesnt sound very comforting... plus theres no basement right?

i don't think those houses will stand the test of time. they seem to be thrown together, some parts are pre assembled, drywall mud is dried with fans to speed up painting and who knows about plumbing and electrical work?

i know i wouldn't want a house built like they are. if the houses were any good, wouldn't all new houses be built that way?

reply

No because most companies can't afford to pay over 300+ workers to build a home in a week. So how could they all be built that way? this is for a tv show...hello....

I know someone who recently had a house built for their family for this show. I asked him the same question and he said their deck has already started to sink as well as the driveway. The house was only built in like July

They all have to be built to code, however there are a LOT of things that are rushed. There is a chunk of siding that was missing on one of the houses I was a part of (where the siding was measured about 2 inches short), and the hole was plugged with about a tube and a half of caulk. They are to code, but a are slapped together. I can point out hundreds of flaws with the Watson house alone.
