Does anyone know if this film is set for release in the United States??? As soon as I saw the poster for it when I was in Paris in March, I couldn't wait to see the film... but I'm worried it'll never come to my country! I hope at least the DVD will be available...

shareThere was a brief Q&A session after the screening at Telluride yesterday. There is an American distributor who evidently has plans to run it at black colleges and for Jewish groups to create buzz before attempting a wider US release.

I dont know the schedule of release in the US, but its getting aroound. I met the lead actor today, he came to present his film to a hebrew class I take at brandeis university. The film is to be shown in West Newton, MA later this week. Thats all I know. He was a wonderful guy to meet though.
sharerumor has it that the dist. are trying to get enough support for the film to release it in major cities. So far, I think Boston has been first, then some other smaller cities, then LA and NYC. Anyways, keep an eye out for it. It is definitely worth seeing.
