You can get the DVD for free at NOFX shows by hanging out by the stage after the show is over

Ha ha that's where i got it for free in berkeley after one of their concerts!

Too bad you can't get it other easily accessible places too- i'd love to hand it out to family and friends.

reply

Wow really. How does it compare to Moore's film. Better I hope. I doubt I would agree to much with either of them, but not even seeing Moore's new film but seeing his last Greenwald can't possibly of made a worse documentry and probably uses facts... even if they may be one sided. But I guess I'll have to watch it sometime.

reply

Okay Xarathos, I understand if you do not agree with Michael Moore's opinion. However, you can't say that he does not use facts. As for being one sided... umm...duh. Most documentaries are trying to prove a thesis so they will only employ facts that prove it. Moore just happens to use the facts to prove a thesis, you happen not to agree with.

reply

Michael Moore does not rely only on facts for his "documentary". He fabricates a lot of falsehoods. See this comprehensive article: http://www.davekopel.com/Terror/Fiftysix-Deceits-in-Fahrenheit-911.htm

reply

Michael Moore relys on facts and opinion based on events. These events may not prove that certain things happened, obviously, but they lean towards certain things. It's not brain surgury. Detectives do it all the time. It's called circumstantial evidence. Righty pigs do it all the time to undermine the left and everyone believes them because they're "important". Of course you can't say so and so is true beyond a reasonable doubt but, *beep* if Farenheit 9/11 is not true. It's all god damn true, ok!? This movie on http://www.davekopel.com/Terror/Fiftysix-Deceits-in-Fahrenheit-911.htm is full of hot *beep*. It was done by a fucken rightist *beep*. You see all these documentaries time and time again being made showing you lies and more fucken lies and still people refuse to believe anything is happening. Let's put it this way. Are there people out there making movies about how Bush is a good guy, smart, morally righteous and an honest man? Is there proof that he didn't lie? Is there proof that he's definitely not working with the Bin Laden family to screw your country over? But there is circumstantial evidence that he is. But it's not enough because it's just cirsumstantial, right? Even though there's no evidence to support the opposite. Great thinking assholes.

Please enlighten me on how Bush is working with the Bin Laden family. Thats like saying Roosevelt was working secretly working with Hilter! As for Bush lieing, Clinton lied even worse and no one seemed to care. Who defines "weapons of mass destruction?" If you ask me a pistol in the hands of a murder is a "WMD" because it is intended then to kill a mass of people. Please explain to me how chemical and biological weapons are not weapons of mass destruction. Both these weapons can kill 100,000 people at a time. Is this not mass destruction? People stop saying this is a lie and look to the truth. Oklahoma City bombing was a home made bomb, and it destructed a mass amount of peoples life, is this not a "Weapon of Mass Destruction?" If its not please tell all those families that Tim killed and see what they think. A gun in the hand of a killer is a Weapon of Destruction, if the killer kills more then one person that would be considered a "Mass". Or am I just going crazy because of the liberal word usage. But then again John Kerry has a problem with word usage, wanting the united states to fight a "Sensative War".

"Ok Bin Laden I'm coming in now and I've got a belt to spank you with, I'll be real sensative."

"If you ask me a pistol in the hands of a murder is a "WMD" because it is intended then to kill a mass of people."

lol, US is indeed full of WMDers running wild

or you are just stupid

reply

I am simply aghast at your post jayibaugh....does anyone else here see the sheer stupidity of your statement that "clinton lied even worse?" Pleeeeez tell me you've reread your post and can now see the error of your ways.

In case not, since you're playing the devil's advocate in this statement, then you're obviously assuming (for the sake of argument) that Bush also lied. Do you not see the difference in lying about having had an affair (which is absolutely the business of three people ONLY) after being hounded and lynched by a bunch of right-wing, uber religious nuts and lying to an entire country to launch a war, sending thousands and thousands of your own countrymen, as well as those of another country altogether to their deaths???? Did one single person die as a result of Clinton's lie?

Get a grip....

The problem with most Michael Moore documentaries is the fact that, while he is able to obtain (mostly) factual information, he doesn't link it all together. He just throws facts at you and implies things, he doesn't actually PROVE beyond reasonable doubt that this is the reason why things happened. He leaves that part up to the viewer. He also is excellent at editing in or out things that work for his agenda. However, it is a documentary and he is by most terms a radical leftist, and that's fine if you are trying to work an agenda. But you can't expect it to be an objective look at American politics.

All I'm saying is, if you're going to watch a Michael Moore documentary, think hard about the facts, but take it all in with a grain of salt.

Did I read that right? You are commenting negatively on Fahrenheit 9/11 without seeing it?

That seems to be a trend with the far right wing guys, and it's really disappointing. You should watch it before you condemn it.

reply

man i wouldnt be surprised if NOFX did that after their concerts, i saw then playing on conan and you could tell that they all absolutely hated bush just by what they were wearing and the little thing they had built onto the stage.

they had like demeaning pictures of bushes face and all that stuff.

and for all those who hate micheal moore's "documentary", you guys should all get together and make a documentary opposing micheal moore if you keep complaining like this.

the man's entitled to say whatever he wants because its HIS movie. The only way people will listen to you guys is if you make a movie of your own

haha, good.

I'm glad i take no political side. Although i don't like how the country is always divided and fighting like they are. I don't think their should be any political parties, and just have people who are running for president express their ideas before the elections.

in the end, canada will win :D

This film is even more stark and more substantiated with facts from people whose lives have been in the service of the country, heads of past CIA, Iraq inspectors, people who have been in positions in government who know how these such fabrications are done.

See it for sure. You will be in a state of shock at how Bush and the people surrounding him made the case for starting a war with Iraq.

I cannot write such words that will leave you sick to your stomach at how easily the entire body politic were so fooled, along with the American public, and how the media still has not taken these facts and exposed Bush.

It is painfully obvious from reading this post, that no, you would not like either of these, what did you call them? Documentry, thats right. Documentary.

I'm on your side, but honestly, the "WHO CARES????" argument is not a convincing one.
