Hollywood film version

Do you think that this anime series should be made into a Hollywood film version?

Normally, I don't like watching movies subbed and will go out of my way to see it dubbed, but this one is an exception. The whole thing with the Spanish-speaking hitman had several funny parts coming from the language barriers. For instance, when Miyuki couldn't understand the hitman, she replied to him in English, which is funny because she thought he was speaking English instead of Spanish. This joke couldn't be translated into either English or Spanish. And when Miyuki was talking to the hitman's wife, they were able to communicate even though they didn't know each other's languages. This seems to be the only movie I actually prefer subbed, which is an accomplishment for Satoshi Kon, for sure.

Wasn't that called 3 Men and a Baby.

In all seriousness, no, Hollywood should stay away from this movie.

It's all part of the plan.

in answer to the question... no.

no. I think it would lose it's original intention and feeling if that happened. It would be made "hollywood-ish" (yeah that's a word) I already hate the american tagline they gave the movie which makes it sound like some kind of mainstream mindless comedy flick...but I'm biased.

Well the anime is a remake of a Hollywood movie called 3 Godfathers so why remake it again.
