A great idea for any anime

If there's a Japanese person who can speak English out there that wants to make some money, please record commentaries for animes that explain Japanese cultural elements that might be over the heads of foreign viewers.

It would be easy to do. Go to Rifftrax.com and create an account. You can uploaded your audio and we can buy it there, then play it as we watch the anime.

Pompoko is a good example of an anime that needs some of this style of commentary.

It's been done before but only once that I've seen. One anime had a pop-up video style text commentary that explained things like Japanese culture included in the anime.

This is a good idea! Subtitles are usually lacking the cultural context of the dialogue.
I usually go on a googling spree after I watch foreign movies :D

Yes, this is a good idea! I don't know why it isn't being done all the time. Perhaps it is being assumed that anybody watching is an anime fan and knows this stuff already?

I disagree with you, but I'm pretty sure you're not Hitler.

I would actually enjoy this. It would be very helpful to understanding many of the movies I already love.

Seize the moment, 'cause tomorrow you might be dead.
