General Beck´s words

General Beck last scene in this movie... is SO SAD.
When he says he was another life, an unless life that end as many others, such things... That he will die and so what, like no one cares, such things.

Did he ever think many of us will be seeing his story?
Oh
SO SAD

And I still really think this movie has some good stuff, besides Valkyrie.
Though Valkyrie has stronger emotional moments than this, the ending is way better, this one has some good stuff too.

General Beck´s death is still sad in this movie.

I love both movies I guess.
And Tom Cruise was great for the role too.

Just a though.

Hi Valquiria,

Yea it was pretty sad. I'm not sure though if Beck really said that - Valkyrie really got me interested in the history of the German resistance movement and I'm hoping to find copies of Hoffmann's books soon after the movie comes out here.

I'm actually wondering now which was more accurate - Beck was a very strong, noble character in Stamp's portrayal but here he is shown as weak, uninspiring and in the end, cowardly. I wonder now which was closer to the truth. I do know that historically Beck did botch his suicide twice and had to be finished off by a sergeant.
