Book seemed more subtle and satirical
I didn't read the book, I listened to the audiobook, which my girlfriend would call cheating. lol. But this book didn't seem to be quite so slapsticky. The book seemed be more subtle and sardonic in humor. I actually saw Kevin Spacey in the role of Luther. Tim Allen is a fine comic player, but Spacey seemed more in keeping with the book's character. Maybe I am wrong, I am no literary critic. And why oh why did they change to title? Skipping Christmas works. It's smarter, concise and still begs some interest. I know, what's in a name? hate to knit-pick, but the original title just had more style.
