The worst reaction in the movie had to be from the people at work when he gave them the letter saying he would not be giving gifts or taking them. People looked pissed that they wouldn't get an extra 10 dollar gift. Also that seems ridiculous to give gifts to every employee at the company that big like it implied.
shareSome companies are like that. I've heard from someone the gifts are written off on taxes as a business expense. The place my cousin works at gives nice gifts expensive gifts like those large boxes of the meat and cheeses which sell from the catalog at about $60+ each. They once all got the new iPhones when they came out. It's some fancy law firm. Everyone there seems to get nice things. I think it's sweet of them to recognize everyone in the company but it's from the CEO. The workers exchange gifts if they wish.
