The snowmen were all on the roof. Not even putting out Frost was the equivalent of Scrooge turning down the charity collectors and telling his nephew Fred "bah humbug".

Hell, Dan Ackroyd's character even offered to do it for them. Costing the neighborhood the annual contest only made everyone more annoyed with them.

Exactly. Where I live one of the biggest supporters (I think she heads whatever applicable committee downtown.) of decorating for Christmas is a Jewish store owner in our historic district. It's festive and pretty.

A lot of people would be fine with doing things outside if the neighbors offered to do it for them.
