Lets be Honest with ourselves. Most christmas films tend to get some sort of slating at some stage , doesnt everyone agree?
The idea and the feeling the film gives is the important thing for me. If it makes you feel christmasy then its achieved its goal. forget acting and scripts. Make me feel like its christmas ....

I'm even later than Hmmm..., but I totally agree with both posts. People need to quit overthinking movies (especially Christmas movies). Just enjoy them for what they are and don't nitpick or overanalyze. Personally this movie makes me feel good. I saw it in the theater 11 years ago, and still watch it at least once every Christmas, usually more.🎄
shareOne of the major problems with this movie (among the numerous inconsistencies, lame jokes and unlikable characters) is that it doesn't make me feel "christmasy" at all (and based on the many user reviews I've read, I can tell I'm not the alone on this one), all it does is remind me of the rapid commercialism and conformity that's way too common around the holiday season.
