Yeah, really. Nobody in their right mind would have bought that tree. In reality he would have just gone to another tree lot. Same with Nora and the ham. Why write a huge cheque for a ham? Just go to another grocery store.

Right? Then at the party they didn't even fix the ham. Luther gave it to their neighbors who didn't want it.

They made it sound like that was the only tree/ham left by that point, but as anyone ever knows after celebrating Christmas every year, that wouldn't be an issue. It's not like they lived in a small town. Clearly there are other places that are selling even right before Christmas.
