If I had known that Jamie Fox is supporting Tookie Williams

I would never see another one of his movies.
This is really disgusting, the guy is on death row,
and scheduled to pay for his crimes, and just what
does jamie fox know about things ... and why does
he expect everyone to take his word on it.

I supposed OJ supports Williams too.

I'm no hateful racist death penalty advocate, but
I think Williams needs to face justice just like
all the other people in jail or in the courts who
do not have celebrities to bribe people for them.

This really makes me mad, especially when you consider
how "real" movies based on true stories are. Laughable.
I would bet gang money financed this to make Williams
look good.

They could have ... when you push drugs and make contacts in
the Hollywood world, these people have lots of power. I am
not talking about their victims or their soldiers who are
just as taken advantage of, but the people at the top who
rake in the cash and make famous friends.

For example, maybe you want someone killed ... it probably
pays to have friends in a gang.

Ted Danson is so stupid there is not hope that he will ever know

You're right, what DOES Jamie Foxx know?

...
...
...

That's all the impetus you need to separate politics from entertainment. While it disappoints me that Foxx would support Tookie, honestly, it wouldn't make me stop watching his movies. He's still a very good actor. I wouldn't necessarily appoint him Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court, but you know...

Okay well he turned his life around and actually starting helping out his community. He wrote books helping kids to understand that its not cool nor safe to do drugs or be in a street gang. People can change, and people can turn their life around and do something worth while. I really do think that his life should be spared. I mean of course Jamie Foxx is going to support him, ah duh he played him in a movie, so obviously he is going to agree with the fact that he has turned his life around and that his life should be saved so that he can continue to encourage children and teens not to go down the path that he went down. He is a totally different man now, and its really messed up that society ( at least some of it) cannot see that. There is no actually evidence that proves that he commited those crimes plus he never had a fair trial. But its really going to be messed up if people start rioting the streets

So, no one would see how great most of us are if we didn't
first kill people, is that what you are trying to get at?
Gee, I screwed up ... better make a real effort to be a

Jamie's(Happy B-day by the way) been fighting for Tookie for 3 years. Yall people need to read!!!

Not everything you see on the News actually came into existense 10 seconds ago. Just because you're just now hearing about this stuff doesn't mean that it's not going on.

Celebs voices don't get heard until it's news worthy but unless us common folk atleast they get heard.

I help yall out on the next person to read about before it floods the news so yall don't sound so idiotic...Assata Shakur (She's not related to Tupac)

I challenge you people to start reading. This society is falling apart because we aren't finding out about stuff until too late. READ! it's fundamental.

> isnt that what prison is all about?
> turning you life around become a better person.

No, that is not what prison is about. Prison exists
to keep people who are a danger away from people who
do not use violence and murder as a way of life.

If someone has done a crime that enables them to survive
prison, then it is to their own benefit to figure this
out and learn how to exist with other people if and
when they get out.

It is true that the legal system is not perfect, and
something like the death penalty is a balancing act,
because no one can ever know anything perfectly.
However, criminals as bad as Williams deserve the
penalty given to them.

I do not like to see anyone die, and 4 other people
never got the right to be here to argue about it with
you on the internet.

What is wrong with you? Look at the movie b-4 you go talking about something you don't know. Read his books and interviews b-4 you go running your mouth. Look at yourself b-4 you go judging people.
Let’s get some things straight first of all.
If you know the case (and I know that all of you don't no s**t about the case),
You would know that the LAPD was trying framing him for years.
They paid criminals to even testify against him.
The prosecutor’s star witness is in jail in Canada for murder.
And they hated that he was one of the founding members of the Crips.

Now he has admitted to his wrong doings, in his books (which I know none of you have read) and in interviews. He's not proud of them and does think that he should be punished for his crimes, and that’s what his books teach children there are consequences for living this life style. Of course you, you don't know about the life style even, because of the statement you made (I would bet gang money financed this to make Williams look good). You sound stupid.
Why do kids join "gangs"? Where did "gang bangin" originate? What type of environment do gangs spawn? Ask yourself these questions and see what you can do to help. That man, whatever sins he has committed (and we aren't perfect because we have all done dirt), whoever they claimed he killed, has redeemed himself by saving thousands of children, including myself. When I was younger I could've been bangin' "A' tre' gangsta crip", but I didn't because of his message. So I thank him, and ask god to bless him, his fam, the victims families, and even you people who don't know what the hell you are talking about. Open your damn eyes and stop judging people you don't know anything about.

If Williams was the only reason you decided to be a productive
and non-criminal member of society maybe you are going to end up
in jail as well. I applaud you trying to do good, but you should
not do good because Williams tells you to, or the cops threaten
you, but because it is what is inside of you.

I agree with you that the world is screwed up, and it si screwed
up because people have looked the other way for long while others
prifited from crimes that the way of the world is crime.

But just because there is corruption in the world does not throw
away the whole system. It would all change tomorrow if everyone
would start living up to what they all say ... in life, in church,
in courts, on the job, to people they want something from.

Being a gang-banger just ruins your life, and if you are not smart
enough to see that without Tookie Williams dramatizing it for your,
then you have no business criticizing me.

To compare the "execution" of Stanley "Tookie" Williams to the
assassination of "Fred Hampton" of the Black Panthers is on the
far side of the border of absurdity.

Fred Hampton was working to end injustice in US society while
Williams was a gang member overseeing and managing criminal
activity.

I would think it insulting to black Americans that they are
constantly protrayed as being represented by "bad" icons like
Stanley "Tookie" Williams, or people like the rappers who
support him, or Don King. Why is it that black people put up
with this and why is it that white people buy into it.

Anyway these problems are very complex, but bringing someone
to justice whose crime was over 20 years ago ... he should
consider himself lucky that he had 20 years more, and proud
that he did do something good with it, it he did.

I did not say I know why, but everyone prominent and
successful black person seems to be put up as some kind
black symbol. We don't seem to do that with any other
group ... yet another unfairness directed to blacks in
America.

Don't talk to me about Arnold, he is an idiot.
Arnold could not resist getting out there and making
some kind of political statement. If we was going
to not give Williams clememcy, then he should have
just shut up as to why.

Arnold is a brain numbed idiot and no matter how
hard he tries of who he rents or how much money he
spends he will never be a leader, just a guy with
a lot of money who married into a political family.

If being one of the greatest poster-boys for the american dream is something that makes you stupid, than no wonder no one n this country wants to succeed.

People like you who tear down those who rise above all else through their own talent are what is screwing up this country.

Schwarznegger denied his clemency and gave a reason why because he had to. Had he not given one every single person out there would be making up their own excuses as to why he didn't.

He told us why. Tookie wouldn't apologize for the crimes which he was found guilty for, and denied by the supreme court, and the ninth circuit court of appeals several times over till all of his chances for a retrial were exhausted.

and when the 9th circuit court, the most liberal minded court in the country denies you on more than one occasion, you're probably guilty.

You should not read into what I have written more than
is there. I respect Arnold Scharzeneggar immensely. I
have enjoyed his movies, and his goofy personna, and I
think he has intelligence and can recognize business
opportunities well.

The problem is this. The man has no vision of his own.
He is using the vision people imbue him with because of
his movies and success as a crutch to get political power.

He has met with an elite group of people in secret many
times to plan ... well, we do not know what, do we?

We do know that Arnold has a adolescent mentality, intelligent
as he is, and is a macho guy and social climber.

He wants to use and schmooze people to gain in power
and prestige. I think that is not good on its own, and
it though he has gained by being in America, he as a
very narrow view of the world.

As far as the denial of clemency, I emailed the governor
a letter asking him not to. I do not know if it got
delivered or listened to, and I do not support Schwarzeneggar,
but that is the process while it last here in America.
He did not have to deny clemeny, as a President does not
have to explain to pardon someone, especially a lame
duck president ... and I think, I hope Arnold is not
coming back and he knows it.

In my view, he has done nothing - NOTHING - good for the
state and has played a part to let the big shot "bosses"
come in and rule the states like the "bosses" in the early
20th century, a backward and despicable vision for America
if you ask me.

Just so everynoe should know, Tookie sold less than 400 copies of his books combined.

That doesn't even begin to cover the number of people killed by the Crips, whom he founded.
