Good movie, Good plot, God awful ending

Alright, for an independent film, I enjoyed this one and don't regret renting it. The girls acting was a little over the top in the beginning, but she got much better towards the end. Every character and twist was well thought out, and there were some parts that looked funny, (George riding a bicycle for example) but then you have to realize it's from the point of view of a child. Her evil face was just great also, crooked smile, arched eye brow, squinted eyes, pure gold. The ending bothered me though, completely ridiculous and random, a good ending would've been her hearing the tapping, looking out the window, maybe one of those quick 3 second " *flash* fantasy of her killing the guy *flash* " then a shot of her face in "evil mode" and then she walks back to her computer. They didn't need to spell it out for us, they should of left it to our imagination so we could ponder the whole "Is she better? Is she worse" Thing. Other than that, enjoyed the movie, enjoyed the plot, enjoyed the girls face, worst ending I've ever seen.

I really liked the movie. I even liked the girl's over-the-top acting; the stilted, too-perfect diction made it seem like it really took effort for her to fit into the world around her. You're right about the ending, though -- it's like they gave up and just threw in some random stuff that they thought might be freaky. I don't mind that they spelled it out, it's just that they spelled out something that didn't fit with the rest of the movie.

Personally, I was hoping that we would see her tie up all the loose ends and start over in a new location. Barring that, I'd have been OK with the old "zoom out thru the nuthouse window" ending. I'd have even been OK with the existing ending if it had just been George. But zombie dad? blargh.
