2003? Really?

I'll admit, this idea presented in this movie is somewhat interesting, although the "Little Red Riding Hood" thing seems to have been forced into it with a jackhammer. If it was just about a crazy little girl running around doing this and that then it would've been much more interesting, but the ways they force the story to reference the fairytale makes it kind of a moot point.

My mother seemed to like it.

On a technical level, this movie is a horrendous mess. The editing is really quite bad, as well as a vast portion of the camera work. Let's not even address the acting here. I literally could not believe that it was a 2003 production and not a 1993 production; I thought my mother was lying or mistaken.

If the original film has richer colors and less grain than what is seen on Netflix then there is a very valid reason why the digital transfer sucks so bad; nobody cared enough to make sure it was good. Because this is a horrible movie.

But the way certain cuts are made, panning the camera back and forth with a dozen cuts interspersed within a couple of seconds, really lends to this looking like a student film. So do the special effects. They did not take advantage of the location whatsoever.

If you like terrible movies and you don't think too much about what you're watching then you very well may like this movie. There is no way to defend this movie without using emotions. There is no way to defend this movie while referencing technical aspects.

It's really just that bad. I walked out about an hour into it because the only joy I would get from it was pointing out how bad it was, and I didn't want to ruin it for my mother.

But you jerks? I'll take my chances.
