Nick belongs in a prison hospital

He's a total sociopath. Are we supposed to be rooting for this guy? He's nothing but a dangerous animal. I'm rooting for someone to shoot him with a tranq dart and haul him off to a nice, safe place where he can get meds and counseling.

Same! Her fiance was much nicer and deserved her. Nick was a loser and a liar! This movie was scripted so badly.

Nick is indeed an arse! I would love to see you tranq him and drag his sorry body to the mental hospital !

This movie was awful. The only reason I watched it through to the end was to see him get REJECTED. Unfortunately, I was sorely disappointed...

Absolutely! I found myself in disbelief by the time the credits rolled.

Let's review here, shall we?

-Girl is going to marry guy, but is experiencing constant lust issues and doesn't want this to be the only guy (ostensibly) she has been with, for the rest of her life. In comes Nick.

-Douchebag poses as a priest once he hears of her secret lustings, and tries madly for the bulk of the film to get into her pants. Girl cheats on fiance, who is portrayed as a stand-up, nice guy. Douche gets his way. He has her in his place, when she's drunk and in a vulnerable mental state. Takes complete advantage of it. Vanessa, of course, is also a disgusting whore for doing so, I might add. Gorgeous as all hell, granted, but an unfaithful slut.

-Douche crashes her REAL wedding after seeing (and even commenting on) the fact that Andre is a really good guy, who patiently sits with what he thinks is a priest suffering a mental breakdown all NIGHT when there's obviously something he'd much rather be doing. Nick is given EVERY opportunity to come to the realization that he is trying to weasel in and steal a girl he met THREE DAYS ago, from a man who obviously loves her and didn't even cheat on her when given a very good opportunity to. Instead, he f##ks Andre's dream girl, and then steals her away. I guess both Vanessa and Nick are pretty aweful people who deserve each other so it works out in an ironic sort of way, but it's not right.

After all that, given the fact that this guy screwed his fiance and then crashed his wedding and somehow convinced her to leave him... I wouldn't have blamed Andre for a second if he bought a shotgun and blew Nick's head clean off.

What an utter rubbish ending. The moral of the story is the good looking, leather-clad, chronic lying jackass gets the unfathomably beautiful girl and the deserving guy gets...his sister?!?

The only reason to watch this movie twice would be Rachel Leigh Cook. She is so unbelievably beautiful I often find myself sitting there and just looking at her, asking 'how is it even possible for someone to be that perfect?'- she's like a living doll, and I don't believe I've seen her ever look anything less than blindingly, stunningly gorgeous. She can also act quite well... it's a shame she isn't more selective in the scripts she agrees to.

I suppose if you're one of those guys who feels bad for Johnny in the original Karate Kid, you might like the ending. Otherwise, there are better movies Rachel has starred in.

I agree with everything sonbuhitsunei said here.

A completely wrong-headed plot and over the top dumb script make what should be a great romantic comedy a difficult to endure trauma. When was the last time you were pissed off at the end of a romantic comedy?

Seeing Rachael is indeed the only worthwhile aspect of this film. She has a lot of screen time and is beautiful beyond description. It's just a bleeding shame that the movie that shows her perfected loveliness more than nearly any other is so awful.
