Was this suppose to look like a 1980's horror movie?

I had to double check to see when it was made, cuz everything about the movie was straight from an 80's slasher movie! The way they acted and talked, the look of the movie, the sound quality, the retarded music, the "silent masked" killer, who even stabbed like an 80's movie killer, the mask pulled off his face at the end, and oh no the body disappeared even though he was repeatedly hit and shot. And the super lame "Carrie-esk" sweet ending with sappy music and BAM scary! But wait it was just a dream!Oh maybe not! Soooo bad. And tell me how a little girl can get out of duck tape, in front of the bad guy, in like 5 minutes but a grown woman can't get undone, with hours by herself!!?? God I'm so sick of bad horror movies. Why can't anyone make anything original anymore!
