Biggest issue with this...

Is the script. I had high hopes for this movie and expected a nice throwback slasher with a cool premise. The story was interesting but the script destroyed this movie. The characters were the worst part. The script calls for them to do some of the stupidest things I have ever seen in a slasher film... The only one in the film who puts up the most fight is a damn little girl. if the characters were smarter and made better decisions and the killer outwitted them that'd be better and scarier than the characters just being dumb. That was my problem with bereavement too- good premise but the hats gets were too dumb to survive and root for. Also I didn't get why didn't the killer get the mother while she was alone and tied up?

I just couldn't get behind these characters and had a lot more hope for this film
