Anyone here actually FROM Santa Clarita?

I live in NY currently but spent a large chunk of my life in Santa Clarita. Needless to say it was a surprise to see Michael Douglas and Evan Rachel Wood jumping all over the Costco I used to shop at.

All I can say is, wtf? Who on Earth would place a movie with Big Names in a little hick town like Canyon Country? I left for a reason!

I am. They actually filmed a part of the movie in my neighborhood, so it was cool to pass by them for .5 seconds.

they actually film alot of shows and movies here

i.e. Weeds, Arrested Development, CSI

Well I live really close to santa clarita...maybe like a half an hour drive but I commute up there frequently because my sister lives there(newhall). yeah, like someone else said lots of movies have been filmed there...i mean it's not that far from L.A. i think it's a really beautiful area. i got all excited when i saw the beginning with the santa clarita mental health hospital.

Filming it in a middle-of-nowhere town that noone has heard of was kind of the point.
