Jesus f ucking Christ in spinning in the Dj booth! How many stupid people are on this forum!?!?! This guy here asking what flip-flops are, other one asking who Pete Tong is, the other guy in the thread up above recently claims he saw Frankie Wilde on rave party in Dallas, yea sure, I saw Morpheus and Neo in a local club last night! They were chilling with the Oracle in the vip area, and of course, the guy spinning was nobody else than Frankie himself!

Your grammar leaving much to be desired, I have no idea what you are implying with your comment. Are you saying that flip-flop IS spinning in the DJ Booth? You wrote "in", so I really have no idea.

If that is what you are saying, you're wrong. Watch the film again. He is clearly talking about the footwear.

flip flops are a type of footwear worn in hot places, or beaches. called flip-flops in England cos of the sound it makes when you're walking.

in asia, these shoes are called slippers

in australia, these shoes are called thongs

thongs in England are womans knickers that ride up the arse cheeks

They were called "zori" in California in the '50s and '60s. This is also the Japanese term for them. There is a thong that connects from the front of the sole of the footwear and splits into two strips and reconnects to each side of the sole. One slides the foot into the footwear and lets the front thong slide between the big toe and the second toe by which the wearer grips the footwear when walking. The two side strips help keep the foot item balanced under the foot.

The Japanese wooden version of this footwear is called "geta."

Traditional zoris are made of straw. Modern zoris are of rubber. Some of them from China seem to be made out of old tires which impart black smudge on other surfaces.

I've worn zoris since the '50s. I never heard the term "flip flops" either until recently.

for what is worth...it is called "papuci" in romanian...

And "Pete Tong" is Cockney rhyming slang for "wrong". So "It's All Gone Pete Tong" means "It's all gone wrong"

Flip flops or thongs are also called jandals.
