How similar is the book to the film?

hey kinda late reply but better late than never ..i read the book a while ago and can remember most of it.. its really good! theres much more childhood memories in it .. it tells u more about maggie and rose's school days :)! but it was a really goood book i used it for my english exam n there were loooots of good quotes in it :) and the poems are still in it .. im sure theres another poem in it .. one more than the film! the chapters flick from each persons point of view rose, maggies and ellas. buy it its good :)
