The best date movie hands down is When Harry Met Sally. It's my all time fav. I don't know if I consider it just a chick flick though since I know many guys that love it too. A good second would be Sleepless In Seattle.

Pretty Woman
Some Kind Of Wonderful
Steel Magnolias
Dirty Dancing
Beaches (I have to say I love this movie)
Father Of The Bride
My Best Friends Wedding

Ok, more than 5, but when me and my gf get together we watch any one of these.

reply

Okay...yeah...I forgot about Harry/Sally

THAT is the mother of all romantic comedies. It is so hysterical...almost every scene.

Scott

PS - to all the posters who posted that "In her shoes" is a romantic comedy.... SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! I totally rented this expecting it to be funny, but NOPE...all drama!! Not bad...just definitely NOT a comedy

reply

Tristan and Isolde (YOU ALL HAVE TO SEE IT! JAMES FRANCO is really hot in that movie, and I think the story is better than Romeo and Juliet)

Pretty Woman
Moulin Rouge
The Notebook
Romeo and Juliet
